Whittling three years of study down to three themes is challenging. As I considered what themes to focus on, I found myself reflecting on my roles and areas of influence, and thinking about how my practice has changed and will continue to change in the future. Three areas of change became clear:
- As a member of the wider education profession, I am seeking change in education as a whole, based upon my broadened understanding of possible new curricula and new ways to design school that better fit learning theory, supported by current technology.
- As an instrumental music teacher, I am changing how I teach music, based upon my understanding of how technology can be used in the music classroom.
- As a teacher of many subjects, I am changing how I teach, based upon my transformed understanding of how students learn.
